Aju Publications is an independent Telugu publishing house based in Hyderabad, founded with one clear goal: to encourage more people to read in Telugu. What began as a small initiative quickly grew into something bigger, thanks to a strong response from Telugu readers across India and around the world. We’ve focused on publishing stories that feel real, fresh, and rooted in our culture, supporting new voices while also celebrating established ones. Our catalogue includes books by Sahitya Akademi-winning author Madhurantakam Narendra and the timeless poetry of Vaseera, as well as debut writers who are shaping today’s literary conversations. In 2024, one of our books, ‘Amma Diary lo Konni Pageelu’ by Ravi Mantri, became the top-selling fiction title across all Indian languages, with more than 1.75 lakh copies sold in just eight months. That success reminded us that Telugu readers are out there, waiting for the right books to come to them. So far, we’ve published 25 titles, and now we’re taking our next big step: bringing translations from other languages into Telugu. We want Telugu readers to have access to powerful stories from around the world, presented with the same care and love we put into our original works. At Aju, we’re building a space where literature can grow across time, places, and people, while always staying true to the language we love most.
