Focusing on the marriages of Ottoman princesses into the Nizam’s family, the talk examines how royal photographs shaped memory, migration, and ideas of cosmopolitan modernity across Turkey and India, and how these images continue to circulate today through nostalgia, exile, and archival afterlives.
