A morning to discuss why we should not let go hand weaving traditions. To debate the reasons for the present status of handloom as a fabric out of reach of vast sections of our people. To seek solidarity and support to the events planned across this month in villages of Telangana to re-connect handloom to people.

The speakers for the day will be Dr.Rama Melkote, Uzramma, K.Lalitha, Dr.B.Syama Sundari.

This is an initiative of the All India Federation of Handloom Organisations. The membership at present is 4, Dastkar Andhra(DA), DCYT(Decentralised Yarn spinning Trust), RCJS(Rashtra Chenetha Jana Samakhya),Chirala and DESI, Benguluru(Karnataka).
