The Secret Recipe is a 45-minute independent Telugu crime thriller that unfolds within the closed walls of a secluded house. Driven by silence, mood, and minimal dialogue, the film explores control, hunger, and moral collapse through a restrained yet unsettling narrative.
Relying on atmosphere rather than exposition, the story gradually exposes the violence beneath routine and ritual, allowing the audience to interpret what is shown—and what is withheld. The Secret Recipe is an intimate, slow-burning descent into psychological unease.

I’m Sri Uday Kareti, an actor, writer, and director. I began my journey during college, making short films and video dance covers, and later worked on independent films as an assistant director and as part of writing teams.
The Secret Recipe is my first professional independent film, which I’ve written, directed, and acted in. This project was made with a lot of passion and genuine intent, and this screening means a great deal to me. I’m looking forward to sharing the film and hearing your thoughts.
