‘Ooravatala Deepaala Oosulu…. : Kalingaandhra Jaanapada Kathalu’ (Wick-lamps meeting and conversing outside the village …: Folk stories of Kalinga-Andhra or North Andhra region) An immersive audio-presentation of stories collected and rewrtitten by eminent writer Bammidi Jagadeeswara Rao.

There is a special vibe and twang to to the Telugu dialect and folk narrative imagination of Kalinga-Andhra (erstwhile North Andhra districts of Srikakaulam and Vijayanagaram and adjacent districts of Orissa). Reputed Telugu writer Bammidi Jagadeeswara Rao has done significant work in collecting, rewriting and publishing a number of these delectable and sharply ironic and meaningful traditional stories over the last three and a half decades.

In association with Lamakaan, the group Maruvam brings an audio-presenntation of some delectable TELUGU Kalinga-Andhra FOLK STORIES as part of its DHWANI (immersive audio-presntation) series.
