It is about the botanical drawings made by Indian artists to help Western botanists in their work documenting the Indian flora in the late 18th and early 19th century.

Dr Noltie is a taxonomist, historian & botanist, a Research Associate at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh & a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for World Environmental History. Dr Noltie has curated exhibitions, lectured and written books on his specific interest, the botanical drawings made by Indian artists for the East India Company during the 19th century.
