Translating Palestine
Workshop
1.5 hrs
May 23, 2026 3:00 pm Saturday

The White Library is back with a new 3-part chapter: Translating Palestine. For the months of May, June, and July 2026, we'll be gathering at Lamakaan to attempt to translate select bits and pieces of Palestinian fiction, and have conversations about the process of translating. This isn't a reading circle, but a creative writing one. Do join in, even if you've never read Pal. literature before, or have never translated before. :')

Organizer
Manasa
Manasa is a research scholar in the disciple of Literature and a graduate of the Creative Writing program at the University of East Anglia, Norwich. She works with Palestinian Literature in her research, and loves looking into what literature does to each and everyone of us, whether we're reading it, or writing it, or - in this case - translating it.
