The Forgotten is a psychological horror short film written and produced by Lantern Pictures (UK). The film explores grief, memory, trauma, and supernatural forces through a haunting narrative that serves as the first chapter of an ambitious horror mythology.

This special screening in Hyderabad marks part of the promotional campaign for India’s First Horror Cult Universe, a long-form interconnected cinematic project currently in development. The project began in the United Kingdom and is scheduled to expand into a feature film release in theatres later this year.

Following the screening, writer-director Saiteja Aluvala will host an interactive discussion on independent filmmaking, international film production, world-building, and the creation of a horror universe that bridges India and the UK.

The event is open to filmmakers, film students, horror enthusiasts, and audiences interested in original independent cinema.

Presented by Lantern Pictures (UK).
