Mekhala Hiriyanna present us with an evening of Carnatic vocal music filled with various vaggeyakaras geyas and devotional songs.

Mekhala has been learning Carnatic Music systematically under the tutelage of her grandmother Vidushi. S. Lakshminarasamma – a Karnataka Rajyotsava Awardee.

Along with her grandmother, she has released an audio cassette at a tender age of 7. She has won prizes in many reputed organizations and performed at Rotary Club, ISRO, Indian Institute of World Culture, School of Ancient Wisdom to name a few.

She has also gained appreciation for her extensive writing in various subjects of Carnatic music and also for her Concert reviews.

In 2010, she was given an opportunity to perform Carnatic music at Alliance Française de Bangalore during their World Music Day. She has also represented her college in Visveswaraya Technological University fest.

After acquiring an engineering degree in Information Science and Technology with distinction, Mekhala joined Infosys, Bangalore in July 2012. Presently, she is working in the Education and Research wing of Infosys.
