Book club meeting of the Hyderabad Indian-SF Reading Circle to discuss Analog/Virtual by Lavanya Lakshminarayan. Founded with the aim of spotlighting the richness and diversity of speculative writing from India, the reading circle brings together readers interested in exploring how Indian authors imagine science, technology, history and the future.

I am Karthik Prasad, a filmmaker and a literature enthusiast with an interest in the speculative fiction genre. Over the years, I have found that while Indian writers have produced remarkable work in the speculative fiction genre, many of these books remain relatively unknown to a wider readership. The Hyd Indian SF Reading Circle grew out of a desire to change that. It is a passion project aimed at bringing readers together to discover, discuss and celebrate Indian speculative fiction in all its forms. Through regular discussions, the circle hopes to create a welcoming space for readers to engage with thought-provoking stories, exchange ideas and explore the rich and growing landscape of speculative fiction being written in India.
