The next installment in our conversation sessions between scientists and the general public is on the subject of bionanotechnology. We will have a short 20 minute talk by our guest scientist, after which the audience is invited to engage in an informal, free-flowing discussion with the speaker. Interested participants of all ages are welcome. No prior knowledge or expertise is required. This conversation will feature Dr. Yamuna Krishnan of the National Centre for Biological Sciences, TIFR, in Bangalore. Starting with a background in Chemistry, Dr. Krishnan has earned worldwide recognition for her work on manipulating DNA to create nanoscale biological devices. She will speak on "First blueprint, now bricks: DNA as nanoscale construction material".
