From the beauty and majesty during the early period of church and classical music to its position as horn-section or solo-instrument in Jazz big bands and brass bands, the trombone has seen many changes in its use. During this listening post we’ll look at some of the pivotal changes and influential musicians that have shaped the course of the trombone over the centuries.
