CAMS (Center for Arts Media and Social Welfare) in association with Theatre Resource, Pune is presenting a lecture by Rtd. Prof. Bhaskar Shewalkar on 'Theatre in Social Development'.
About Prof. Bhaskar Shewalkar: A former HOD, Theatre Arts, University of Hyderabad, a nationally recognized theatre personality, Prof. Shewalkar has so far directed more than 100 plays in Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, English and Telugu. After retiring, he has dedicated himself towards training actors. He is a guiding force behind ‘Sutradhar’ and he is a founder member of ‘Rangadhara’ since 1971.

CAMS (Center for Arts Media and Social Welfare) which is actively involved and working for social initiatives across Andhra Pradesh through the medium of theatre arts, our organization takes up awareness campaigns to highlight issues like education, health, hygiene and environment etc, by conducting plays and theatre performances for the benefit of people particularly from underprivileged sections of the society. We also regularly organise Theatre workshops, seminars, symposiums, full time and short term courses in Theatre etc. across Andhra Pradesh both in rural and urban areas.
