Partho Sarothi Ray is an activist and academic based in West Bengal. He is an assistant professor, at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata, specializing in the molecular biology of cancer. He has been closely involved in a number of people's movements, such as in Lalgarh and the anti-POSCO movement in Odisha, and more recently in Nonadanga. He is a founder member of the Sanhati collective and the website www.Sanhati.com.
