An informal evening of interaction with Vivek Nemana, a freelance journalist who was born in Hyderabad and brought up in the US. Vivek will speak on his experiences during this journalistic career - which includes reporting on the Phailin, his work with the tribal youth in Andhra Pradesh, his own motivations for writing.

Vivek has worked with many renowned newspapers and magazines. He is currently working on a book on changing tribal identity in modern, Maoist India - an exercise that has taken him to interact with tribal youth in Andhra Pradesh. He was recently award the 2014 RedInk Award for Best Human Rights and Environmental Reporting for this in-depth coverage of the unprecedented rescue efforts during Operation Phailin.
