Conducting a week long traditional paintings training programs at 'Lamakaan' as per the interest of the students, teachers, women and public in general.

The workshop will be on traditional paintings like Kalamkari, Tanjavur, Nirmal, Batik, Gond, Madhubani, Warli, miniature, patachitra among others with their original artisans. Based on interest of the candidates, the programme will be designed.

This event is being organised by The Resource Centre for Traditional Paintings (RCTP) was established at National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (ni-msme) with the support of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The main objective of the centre is to support traditional artists in improving their socioeconomic conditions and giving helping hand to inculcate the traditional skills for the young generation to save our languishing crafts.

Material will be provided. The timings will be flexible and will be decided depending upon the majority of the attendees.

The Resource Centre for Traditional Paintings (RCTP) was established at National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (ni-msme) with the support of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The main objective of the centre is to support traditional artists in improving their socioeconomic conditions and giving helping hand to inculcate the traditional skills for the young generation to save our languishing crafts. In order to meet the objectives, we are regularly organizing art classes, workshops on traditional paintings like Kalamkari, Tanjavur, Nirmal, Batik, Gond, Madhubani, Warli,miniature,patachitra and other paintings.
