Title: Bonganyi Writer: Mempuh Kwachuh Sophia

The play is set in an african village. Bonganyi, a native of the village is excited over the annual regional cultural competition. The play unfolds as a simple desire of a girl to win the competition. But it is only later that the audience realises its underlying subtext.With the turn of the events one sees that under the guise of dance and its glory there lies a persistent fight of the struggle for freedom from slavery.
