Verba Maximus, the annual Literary Fest of BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus is back with its fourth edition on 31st January and 1st February, 2015. nviting students of all ages from 13 years onwards of all schools and colleges for the Hyderabad regional round of Verba Maximus 2014 - the annual literary festival of BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus. The event will take place at Lamakaan on Sunday,4th January at 4th January, featuring a Debate - which will be held for teams of two - and a Spell Bee. Winners get prizes and a direct entry to the finals of the respective events at Verba Maximus. There is no entry fee. Do turn up and spread the word!

I, Sagar Shah, am the Secretary of English Languages Activities Society (ELAS), at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus (BPHC). Verba Maximus'15 is the annual Literary Fest of BPHC, a brainchild of ELAS. Every year, Verba Maximus aims to contribute its best for the love of Literature, and a plethora of events are held, expanding over different platforms,including speaking, writing and quizzing. Since the last edition, the fest also includes competitions in Hindi and Telugu, to cater to a larger audience. The fest has been graced by several distinguished authors and performers; boasting of Amish Tripathi, Aroon Raman, East India Comedy, Vipul Goyal, Krishna and several other great names making their presence at the venue. This year, to improve the participation and competition of literary enthusiasts around the country, we plan to conduct regional rounds in the cities of Hyderabad,Trivandrum, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Mumbai; whose winners will directly qualify into the finals of the competitions which will be held on D-day, i.e, 31st January 2015 and 1st February, 2015.
