"Music Composition Course"
Have you ever tried your hand in composing music? Do you want to understand the concepts behind the music you like? Do you want to attempt music composition seriously? If Yes, this is a course you must attend! This course will present to you the history, theory and concepts involved in music composition. There will be practical and interactive composition sessions working with music software. This is a logical sequel to the workshop on music production techniques conducted by Nalinikanth in Dec‘2014. The main objective from this course would be to create awareness and interest in western classical music & composition.
Date: 7th, 8th, 14th and 15th February (4 sessions/8 hours)
Time: 2 to 4pm
Requirements: Intermediate level of Western music theory. Knowledge of playing an instrument would be an advantage. Please bring your laptop loaded with music notation software (or empty manuscript papers) with you.
Faculty: Nalinikanth Josyabhatla Nalinikanth is an IT professional by occupation, and a musician by passion. He studied Indian classical music and Indian film music before developing a deep interest in western classical music since 2007. He was awarded an Associate Diploma in composition from London College of Music in 2014. He is an autodidact.
