Mitha Vinay, a Secunderabad based Kathak dancer, hails from a family of musicians and is into Music and Dance since her childhood. She has been trained in Kathak for more than 15 Years, under the able tutelage of renowned Kathak exponents Guru Nandini Mehta and Guru Murali Mohan from Narthan Academy for Dance and Music- Well known as NADAM, Bangalore.
Trained as a solo dancer Mitha has given innumerable performances in the most prestigious places across India and abroad as a soloist and as a part of NADAM ensemble. She holds a “Senior” degree in Kathak from Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board, she is an empaneled group artist of ICCR through NADAM and she is a Graded solo artist for National Television (Doordarshan).

5) “World Renowned Mysore Dasara – Mysore - 2010” (Organized by Directorate of Kannada & Culture, Bangalore)
6) Performance at Aurovile, Pondicherry
Mitha has been running her dance academy “Tatvamasi- Centre for Performing Arts” since 2011. “Tatvamasi” is a Sanskrit phrase- “tat tvam asi”, meaning “this is you” is an institute started as a dedication to her Gurus. The institute imparts intensive training in Classical Kathak- a North Indian Dance, where the transcended desires are expressed through the body dynamics.
Mitha Vinay as a part of Tatvamasi and few other institutes in Secunderabad aims to preserve and promote the art of Kathak through regular training, performances, workshops and lecture demonstrations. This is her contribution towards the society; to pass on the tradition of the Indian classical arts through Kathak.
