Lamakaan and 'Finger print' publishers invite you for a book release of Sriram Karri's "The autobiography of a mad nation".

Reading excepts from the book are: Vijay Marur, Shankar Melkote, and B.S.Prakash.

About the Book: ‘I was born in a mentally retarded country.’

Thus begins this provocative, stylish and racy literary rant against India by a 24 year old awaiting capital punishment; hoisting so huge a historic and political canvas to paint upon - opening at the Emergency that almost murdered Democracy and culminating in the Godhra riots, which almost destroyed secularism - a canvas so grand, it will leave you staggered ... and set the tone for a modern story of an ancient mad Nation!

Blurb for the book.

‘Mad Nation is a striking work of imagination…a work every intelligent reader will love’ - Bashrat Peer, writer of Haider and author of Curfewed Night

About the Author Sriram karri.

When asked, Sriram Karri is never quite sure if the nation he was born in, and loves so much, was and is really mad, or if merely he is. Either way, he has witnessed his country grow fondly, sadly, joyfully, regretfully, and above all, hopefully.

Entry - Free.
