Decoupage is an ancient Victorian art where paper or fabric is cut and pasted on any smooth surface and then varnished and sanded down to make it appear as an inlay work of art. Inviting you for a day-long workshop in bottle art 'Decoupage' workshop on Sat 16th May 10:30am-4pm with artist Sarosh Master. Decoupage is the art of decorating objects by cutting and sticking paper with multiple coats of varnish. The result looks like painting or an inlay work of art. This technique dates back to around 18th century in France and Italy when it was considerably expensive to change household furniture. You can use any surface for your decoupage projects and these could include: Boxes, Furniture, Plates, Bottles, Glasses, Trays, Garden Pots, Photo Frames, Vases, candles, Shoes, trinket Boxes.
