'READ' book club meet at Lamakaan with the month's activity of reading and discussion of the book "Autobiography of a Mad Nation" written by Sriram Karri.

Event being organised by READ - One of Hyderabad's newest but very exciting book clubs. Besides regular member meetings about books (and food) this is the first event to bring authors and readers face to face. 'MadNation' is a provocative, stylish, literary rant against India by a 24 year old awaiting capital punishment written by Author Sriram Karri

The event will have books readings by various members followed by public discussion on 3 different topics and a brief Q&A with the author.

Writer of the book Sriram Karri is an English-language novelist, writer and columnist. His first book, The Spiritual Supermarket, was published by Mosaic Books for the Indian sub-continent in 2007. It was longlisted for the Vodafone Crossword Book Award, (Non-Fiction), in 2008. His first novel, The Autobiography of a Mad Nation, was longlisted for the MAN Asian Literary Prize in 2009.
