Inviting all aspiring script writers for on ongoing series of workshops by The Scriptwriting Lab. This week the topic we will be discoursing is "Show, Not Tell - Cinema as an essential visual medium" - by renowned writer Sriram Karri.

Writer of a book "The autobiography of a mad nation", Sriram Karri is an English-language novelist, writer and columnist. His first book, The Spiritual Supermarket, was published by Mosaic Books for the Indian sub-continent in 2007. It was longlisted for the Vodafone Crossword Book Award, (Non-Fiction), in 2008. His first novel, The Autobiography of a Mad Nation, was longlisted for the MAN Asian Literary Prize in 2009.

The Scriptwriting Lab is an ongoing series of weekend workshops with writers and film makers, where we discuss and practise the craft of writing for cinema. Each session shall focus on a distinct aspect of scriptwriting in detail, with specific techniques and examples, and involving practise exercises followed by sharing/feedback. The session is free and open to all. Organized by : Indepdent Cinema Space Independent Cinema Space is a forum for Independent film makers of the city to facilitate sharing, learning, collaboration and networking.
