Inviting all for a screening of "Smarana", a film made by C Vanaja on the agony of the mothers who lost their children in various movement in, Talangana and Andhra Pradesh.

About a dozen mothers who are essentially non-political and do not necessarily believe in their deceased children's politics, talk about their memories, the trauma, repression they have undergone both physically and emotionally when their children were away from home fighting for others'.

Vanaja is an award winning journalist and filmmaker based in Hyderabad whose work focuses on issues of development and social concerns. Trained in Mass Communication, she has over sixteen years’ experience across all media – print, broadcast, electronic and web. She has made critically acclaimed and award winning documentaries like Red Corridor, Smarana and Breeding Invasions.
