Always wanted to create your own works of art??? Then Lamakaan is the place to be from 9/10/2015 to 18/10/2015 !!!!! Here's your chance to delve into the colours and swirls of modern and contemporary art and learn art like never before with oodles of fun and lots activities ! Come join us as we look into the works of some of the greatest artists of the world and to create your own masterpieces!

We are a group of young artists from Tagore's Santiniketan, West Bengal, coming to take you on an exploration into the world of art and help channel your creative energy into beautiful works of art. Presenting workshops on painting, sculpture and print making, from 9/10/2015 to !8/10/2015 , where we will look at how art has changed, what art means and how to give our perspectives physical form through the medium of art.

​ Following is the list of the exciting programs coming your way!

9/10/2015 (4.00 pm to 6.00 pm) and 10/10/2015 (10.00 am to 12.00 pm): Introduction to Modern Art (Painting); Exploring the art of some the world's greatest Modern artists and discovering how to create a modern art work!

11/10/2015 (10.00 am to 12.00 pm) and 13/10/2015 ( 4.00pm to 6.00pm); Abstract Expressionism (Painting) ; Let yourself go wild and free as you work on your Expressionist painting!

14/10/2015 & 15/10/2015 (4.00pm to 6.00pm) : Print Making; Lino Cut : Learn this simple age old technique of printing and give it a fun twist, print on scarfs, t-shirts, or on absolutely anything!!!

16/10/2015 to 18/10/2015 (4.00 pm to 6.00 pm) : Sculpture and Installation Art : Chisel out your feelings and enter the post-modern and contemporary art times with installation art, where we will be experimenting with space, lights, sounds and videos! ​ ​

        Each day shall begin with a small talk on the theme, followed by painting/printmaking/sculpting and end with a small discussion of the work and experience of the participants.

Fees : For entire duration of all programs - Rs.1500/-

      For select programs only - Rs. 700 (per program)
      All materials shall be provided
