Manch Theatre group presents "Pratibimb - A collection of Three hindi plays".

Pratibimb: The world outside is a reflection of who we are within. The way we see things and react to them simply shows what we are made of inside. Pratibimb is an attempt to show, what we have become as a society, to give an insight to our thoughts, our understanding of the creation around us.

Here we want put in front of the audience things that everyone wants to ignore, issues that matter but are not convenient to confront. Issues that are eating away the essence of being human because we simply do not want to do anything about it, we do not want to understand and come to terms with the truth. Pratibimb as the name suggests is a reflection of WHO WE ARE.

Lathi ki Goonj: "Laathi ki goonj" is a mime that revolves around Mahatma Gandhi his doctrines and teachings, which have lost their meaning in the present day society. It vividly describes how we have lost touch with our value system, and how we are continuously forgetting our roots and invading our own identity. It dramatizes in a short span the fall of our generations and how we are oblivious to the "laathi ki goonj" , which is lost and we can no longer hear it.

Kashish: “Kashish” is love story of two lesbian lovers Sana and Vidhi. This mute play symbolically describes how difficult it is for people of a different sexual orientation to come out in the open, because our society vehemently resents and repels them. It is a small story that shows what happens when one such couple decides to break the shackles and come out of the closet. It shows their relationship, their bonding and then how the world outside reacts to it.

Asmita: An act which not only revolves around a girl who is victimized for a heinous act, they call it “Rape”. But also, questions the whole institution on which the society works. The act shows how the victim faces problems in leading a normal life again and how the society remains indifferent about it. It talks about the repercussions of two types of crimes. One which the man who raped has committed and the other committed by the girl victim. How the whole agenda of the society changes. And how the victim finally loses the battle with the society, herself and her life!!
