DARPAN Theatre Presents SHAHJAHAN It’s an adaptation of Sadat Hasan Manto’s story ‘Shahjahan ki Maut’, through this play we intend to put light on the life of Shahjahan and his relations with his son Aurangzeb, daughter Jahan Ara and with the people of his empire. As we know theatre is one of the fast growing medium to communicate the message or information with mass audience, we are trying to bring up the moments and situations of Shahjahan’s period on the stage with music, dance and other theatrical elements. Just imagine!!! The romance between Shajahan and Mumtaz, their first exchange of words…. is left to one’s imagination. We are all set to bring it on the stage. Have you ever imagined how Shahjahan would have impressed Mumtaz in their first meet. Now it’s a time to see everything live!!! It will be awesome to see Shahjahan showing her love to Mumtaz with beautiful poetic words- इतना हि दम है तो दिन में भी चमक के दिखा ऐ चाँद तेरे में वो बात नहीं जो उसमे है !
