"Classical accompaniments - acoustic instruments and the acoustics of instruments"

A lecture cum demonstration by Sri Mohsin Mirajkar, who hails from a lineage of makers of tabla, tanpura and harmonium in Miraj. The lec-dem would be an insight into topics including, but not limited to, making of the instruments, maintenance, different types of tabla, tanpura and harmonium. Participants would also get an understanding about what to keep in mind while buying, playing and saving an instrument. It would be followed by a Q & A session.

Who should attend - vocalists, tabla artistes, instrumental musicians, students of music and dance, sound professionals, dance and music enthusiasts and everyone who takes interest in knowing the science and art behind a musical instrument!
