The Pedestrian Poet : Protest on the Sidewalk.

Sameer Thakur thinks that it is incredibly hard for one to write about themselves in third person. Other than that, Sameer's an 18 year old in law school, who fell in love with poetry when his mother would make fun of him with couplets in maithli, and never could move on. Most of his work, which will be available in The Pedestrian Poet, a collection of his poetry that is being published this year, is in English, Hindi and a pedestrian mixture of both that people his age communicate in.

The recital would involve a series of conversations, where poetry and certain really awkward conversations are had. His poetry, that in this particular scenario will talk about sedition, about the idea of a nation, protest against authority and teenage love, will seek to ensure that you encounter questions you have been trying to avoid.

The idea is to talk to our privileges, to ambush one's stereotypes, and to have a series of conversations that move you.

All are welcome to this talented youngster's recital. Entry - Free.
