Lakshman Rekha is a short film (20 min) directed by Ms Geetika Tondon, the former Head of Academics at Annapurna International School of Film + Media, Banjara Hills.The film deals with the issues relating to gender based violence, and how political players and the media sensationalize the event rather than ameliorate the situation or bring justice to the young woman who has suffered assault. The film is a political satire / drama told with humor and wit.

Geetika Tondon has been a media professional for the past 15 years and has worked in the capacity of a Writer, Production Manager, Director and Stylist for feature films, Ad films, television series, music videos and corporate films. Her film credits include: Dhoop (Production Executive), Siskiyaan (Chief AD), The Film (1st AD & Dialogue Writer) & Good Boy, Bad Boy (1st AD). She has also directed promos for the Telugu version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu starring Nagarjuna) and has written a 78 episode series and 3 telefilms for Cartoon Network India. One of her scripts was a winner (out of 500 odd entries) of the Mahindra’s Sankalan Script Lab conducted by Anurag Kashyap, Sriram Raghavan and Anjum Rajabali in the year 2008. She has an MFA in Film Directing. She is also the former Head of Academics at Annapurna International School of Film + Media, Banjara Hills (2011-2015).
