‘Aajir’ stands for one who has sold himself into slavery for a paltry sum. The play depicts the story of a slave held by a bond signed by an ancestor – a slavery that denies him the right to love, marry and live a life of a human being.

Shudrka Hyderabad,an amateur theatre group based in the twin city of Hyderabad-Secunderabad, has been performing plays in Hindi, Bangla and Telugu since 2004. Some of our major productions are Kinu Kahar Ka Thitre, Totha Bole, Katha Andher Nagri Ki, Ek Soirachari Rajar Katha and Ek Shaam Premchand Ke Naam. The group will perform "AAJIR" in the Rangapeeth National Theatre Festival in December this year.
