These programs begin with 30 minutes of short updates on important economic events of the last month. Then Prof. Richard Wolff analyzes several major economic issues. Our goal is to develop all participants’ understanding and ability to explain current economic events and trends to others. When time permits, we have discussion and comments. Though Prof covers all important economic issues, including that of India, We will still try to have an Indian Economic professor for each event for proper discussions & questions.

These programs that take place in USA on every 2nd wednesday of the month will be attempted to screen at Lamakaan on the following Saturday. This will be our first screening on Oct 15th.

Democracy at Work (d@w) is a non-profit organization that conceives, creates, and distributes media aimed at demonstrating why, and how, democratizing the workplace is a viable solution for a new and better economic system. Based on the book Democracy at Work: A Cure for Capitalism by Richard D. Wolff, the organization advocates for democratic workplaces - including worker cooperatives and workers self-directed enterprises (WSDEs) - as a key part of moving forward from the current model of capitalism to a new and better economy.
