‘Saag Meat’ is one of Kopal theatre's (Mumbai) most successful experiments with over more than 30 shows in Mumbai, Bharat Bhavan Bhopal, Kala Ghoda Festival and the capital, Delhi. A play is to be watched and felt, but, this play offers you to taste as well. The narration of the story is while cooking Saag Meat and at the completion of the play, the spectators get the delight of tasting Saag Meat!
About the Play: SAAG-MEAT is a story written by an eminent writer Bhishma Sahni. This story talks about a relationship between two classes of our society. Jagga, the servant who works for a Punjabi family and who is the most loyal servant anyone can have, but an undesirable incident forces Jagga to take away his own life. And all this is narrated by Sumitra, the protagonist, who unfolds the truth of Jagga's death in a humorous way. The entire story is narrated while cooking Saag Meat in front of the audience, so that the not only enjoys the story but also taste the flavors.
