Dr Ziauddin Ahmed Shakeb was born and brought up in Hyderabad, educated at Osmania, Aligarh and Pune Universities. He was awarded the degree of PhD on his work Relations of Golkonda with Iran. He is a historIan, an Archivist, had his role in Golconda excavation. Dr Shakeb migrated to UK in 1980 at the invitation of the University of London. Dr Shakeb is keenly interested in Urdu Persian languages and literatures. He is a great lover of Hyderabad and the development and culture of this classical city.
