As a part of women's March film screenings Lamakaan is hosting this in a series of films this tonight. The film looks at how a woman's menstrual cycle is altered from being a marker of her fertility to something that renders her untouchable and hence subject to multiple taboos and regulations. As an individual, a woman or young girl is isolated in her struggle to come to terms with the transformations in her body.

SURABHI SARAL, MANAK MATIYANI & ANANDANA KAPUR
Surabhi is currently Creative Director of a television production house in Bombay. She has done her MA in Mass Communication from AJK
MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia. She has shot and directed various independent documentaries and short films.
Manak is a graduate of AJK MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia, Manak has worked extensively on
Community Radio as part of the Tsunami Rehabilitation work carried out by TISS. He has directed and scripted a number of films, documentaries and plays. His film All About Our Mothers was a finalist at the Asian Festival of First Films at Singapore.
Anandana is an independent filmmaker and voice artist whose work has been showcased at
various national and international platforms. She has previously worked as an Executive Producer for TV. Currently, she is Visiting Faculty at AJKMCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia, where she teaches Communication Theory and Research. Her published work deals with culture, communication and media technology.
