This Bazaar is to promote the work of the handloom weavers and help them to have direct interaction with consumers and sale. An effort to help and bring back Handloom into mainstream and popular culture, that would help the handloom weavers to survive and continue with their ancient heritage and skills. Also to encourage people to take up weaving also as an activity of livelihood.
Not only to showcase the work of the artisans but also have talks regarding the imporatance of handloom for ecological conservation, sale of fabrics and also demonstration of weaving skills. Invite children to participate and learn skills like "Charkha" etc.
Artisans & weavers will put up their handlooms for sale including Pochampally, Ikat, Dastkaar, Bandini & also jute craft by Aasha Crafts, supported by Bhumi,
