Experimental Art Film(32 min)
This is a story of two chess players challenging each others’ game skills. The common friends who are there inmates from chess club do this job.
Rohan is a chess champion accepted by his player friends, because of his attacking style of game and generally winning over everybody. Avinash turns out to be a newcomer to chess club, relatively a shy boy from villages talking reasonably less, but with lot of confidence exhibited from his systematic game. His approach to learn chess independently by studying books, gaining command over end game and systematic analysis of the standard chess openings is his strength. He needs to play relatively less with other players as he is trained from his childhood, under the guidance of different experienced masters, including the early village teacher. Rohan did have the opportunity to play a few games (and occasionally lost), but laughed at his games, ridiculing his attitude to learn game by studying books.
The movie opens with the preparation for the informal tournament between the two. The common friends Vikas and Chirag have unanimously agreed as the arbitrators, in case of any dispute arising in the set of games. Though the games are played with rules, the movie Shows us, how the winning pattern changes in course of time and the emotional shades overtake the situation.
This experimental English art film is of duration 32 mins. with mainly one location, concerned 4 - 5 characters and the actual game of chess…..!
Let us see how it unfolds and ends up!
