This month, the Cinephiles film club brings together two of Hitchcock’s most films alongside works by two filmmakers who pay tribute to Hitchcock’s continuing influence on cinema. This week, we will look at the film that was Hitchcock’s own favourite among all his films, Shadow of a Doubt (1943). A young girl, Charlie, is delighted that her favourite relative is visiting their house in a small town in California. The relative is Uncle Charlie, her mother’s brother. Will there be room enough in the house for two Charlies?
