Shudrka Hyderabad, an amateur theatre group based out of Hyderabad, has been performing plays in Hindi, Bangla and Telugu since 2004. It wishes to play its part in honouring and developing the culture of people of India and intends to research, explore and develop new ways of working. It also desires to produce meaningful theatre without neglecting the entertainment element. The group is proud to continue its 10 + years of tradition of contributing to the culture of Hyderabad and to the enrichment of the national theatre community. Some of their major productions are "Aajir" of Mahasweta Devi, Sararattir of Badal Sircar and Ek Soirachari Rajar Katha (based on Alber Camus’ Caligula) in Bengali "Kinu Kahar ka Thitr" of Manoj Mitra and "Ek Sham Premchand ke Naam" - based on two short stories "Kafan" and Sadgati.of Munshi Premchand. Kissa Andher Nagri Ka of Bharatendu Harishchandra etc. in Hindi, Mandi Kosam and Gaddi Karchina Desham and ‘Meemu Aatavikulam’ in Telugu. The group was invited to participate in the Delhi International Arts Festival in 2016, and the Rangapeeth Natyamela, West Bengal. In 2017, Shudrka-Hyderabad in association with Dept. of Language of Culture, Govt of Telangana has organised a Two-day Theatre Festival at Ravindra Bharathi. In 2018, the group has perfoprmed in Moromia 3rd National Theatre Festival, Tapan Theatre, Kolkata
