He is a devoted and well trained Sarod player of the Senia Bangash Gharana. Background: He was born in a highly enriched musical family. His grandfather Pandit Bibhuti Bhushan Mukherjee was a Pakhwaz player. Inspired by his father, He started learning Sarod under the guidance of his respected teacher, Diptesh Bhattacharya at the age of five. He gave his first public performance at the very age of ten. Later, He was groomed by Pandit Kamal Mullick and became a student of Kolkata Sangeet Research Academy – a very well-known music institute. He completed his bachelor degree in music from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. Current Status: At present Srinjoy is a Ganda Bandhan (a traditional ceremony of acceptance between a teacher and his most able student) student of the highly acclaimed Sarod player, Ustad Amaan Ali Khan.
