100 Years of Industrial Design and Production: Hyderabad 1919 to 2019
An exhibition compiled and curated by Hyderabad Urban Lab to showcase the city region's legacy of production, design and technology. Visuals, models, maps, artifacts and stories trace Hyderabad's growth as a hub of ideas and technological innovations through different phases of industrial activity. The exhibition foregrounds the role of communities, places, infrastructure, and people's aspirations in sustaining economic activity in the city. Design and production are powerful tools that offer rich possibilities to address the socioeconomic, and environmental challenges confronting us today. The exhibition highlights the resources and opportunities already existing in the city and those that can be restored and repurposed effectively. Our industrial past may hold the key to envisioning a more equitable present.
