This week we will be looking at some one who has a rare distinction of acting in the first ever talkie films of Hindi (Alam Ara), Telugu (Bhakta Prahlada) and Tamil (Kalidas). He went on to achieve many more and today we call him the founding father of South Indian Film Industry - L.V.Prasad.
Akkineni Lakshmi Vara Prasada Rao known popularly as L. V. Prasad was an Indian film producer, actor, director, cinematographer and businessman. He was one of the pioneers of Indian cinema and is the recipient of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest Award for films in India.
We present a tribute to this doyen of our cinema on its centenary celebrations.
