Dr. Vasant Kumar Bawa will be remembered for many things. He was the founding vice-chairperson of Hyderabad Urban Development Authority; director of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh state archives, main force behind the founding of many important environmental, heritage and scholarly initiatives including the Centre for Deccan Studies and Deccan Studies journal. In his passing on 9th January 2023, many of us have lost a dear friend, mentor and guiding light. We gather on 22nd January 2023 at 11 am at Lamakaan to remember him. Please join us.
