This is a presentation by a speaker who is in the field of Traditional building methods.
The speaker will be making a presentation on the present Rural Building Systems in the modern context - Bridging the gap between our age old ecologically sound building practices and the new modern building culture in the context. Auroville Earth Institute and is currently working out of the ecologically sensitive areas like earth-quake prone area and flood affected areas like Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh.
People in Architectural community, engineering profession, designing and in traditional methods of architecture & building can interact with the like-minded professionals.

Having graduated as an architect from Mumbai, I trained at Auroville working on sustainable building techniques. For the last 2 years I have been working on the use of ecologically sensitive building materials like mud, bamboo, stone and wood with my mentor Didi Contractor in the Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh.
