Let's try to explore more into CAMERA & LENSES

Knowing your camera and lenses is essential for exploring the world of photography. We will try to show you how to get the most out of what you have, in the least amount of time.

We request all members to get types of cameras they have got, old ones (working /not working).

Session -1

  1. Compact Cameras (Point and Shoot Camera)

  2. Sub-Compact Cameras, Bridge Cameras

  3. Single Lens Reflex Cameras (SLR, DSLR for Digital SLRs)

  4. Rangefinder Cameras

  5. Polaroid Camera

Many of the creative options available to a photographer hinge on an in-depth understanding of lenses. In Foundations we will try to show how to choose lenses and take full advantage of their creative options. The course covers fundamental concepts that apply to any camera, such as focal length and camera position, and shows how to evaluate and shop for DSLR lenses.

The second half of the course focuses on shooting techniques: controlling auto focus working with different focal lengths, and managing distortion and flare. The course also examines various filters and contains tips on cleaning and maintaining lenses.

Topics include: Understanding field of view and camera position Depth of field and lens choice How to choose a lens Examining lens features Using specialized lenses such as fish eye and tilt/shift lenses Focusing techniques Using filters Camera maintenance. Who can come ? All who have got interest and zeal of learning and sharing knowledge of photography.

What to Carry ? Try to Carry what ever the type of Camera and lenses you have got.

Costs: Rs. 200/- (Venue Charges, Meetup Maintenance charges, Club Equipment etc.)
