I'm a theatre practitioner hailing from Punjab, I've been working with Hartman Desouza for past five years in Pune. During my time with Hartman, I've taught theater at schools and colleges in Pune helping produce several plays from the ground up, in minimal resources. The highlight of my journey so far is having performed umpteen shows of Athol Fugard's "The Island" under Hartman's direction; and now traveling with Soldiers' Silence. Currently I live in Bangalore, balancing my love for the stage and a career in software sales. Over the past six months, my co-actor, Sahej Aziz, and I have been dedicated to bringing one of Hartman's original plays, "Soldier's Silence" to life. We've performed over 10 shows in five different cities, receiving an overwhelming responses from diverse audiences. About Sahej Aziz: He has learnt and worked under the fire-brand theatre artiste of Delhi, Shilpi Marwah, performing over three hundred street plays and fifty stage productions. The lockdown opened the windows to a completely new medium of online theatre, where they executed several live shows over Zoom calls. For the last two years, he has been working with independent filmmakers in Chandigarh and Punjab, writing, acting and assisting on feature films.
