Queer Nilayam emerged in 2021 as a support collective in Hyderabad, India, dedicated to the LGBTQIA+ and Queer community. It provides an inclusive space where members actively contribute to fostering social connections and a sense of belonging for queer individuals. Our core mission is to advocate for an egalitarian society, free from inequality and discrimination.

Over time, Queer Nilayam has evolved into an independent organization offering diverse forms of assistance to the LGBTQIA+ community in Hyderabad. Despite lacking funding, we provide support in areas such as general health, mental well-being, accommodations, employment opportunities, events, and support gatherings.
