Pratima Jaidev is a media professional with over two decades of work experience across various industry verticals which include the corporate (IT) sector, media houses, educational sector and more; both in India and in the U.S. Her tenure with reputed firms like Discovery Channel and Voice of America in the U.S. made her realise the lack of soft skills which many new recruits of various companies lack in India. So, her focus while working in the educational sector has always been to strive for overall development of the students. She has represented media educational institutes in the prestigious Broadcast Educators Conference and NAB Show in LA apart from establishing many connections between the industry as well as the educational institutes in India to support placements and internships department for the organisations that she has been a part of. Pratima is the CEO of a three decade old media production house Tarangini Media Works which has successfully trained, employed as well as placed many media technicians in TV channels and media firms across India. As a filmmaker, she has worked on more than 100+ projects on various subjects, which include documentaries, ads., corporate films and educational videos; for clients of National and International repute. She has also bagged few awards for her projects. Pratima holds an MA (Film & Video) from American University, Washington D.C., MA (English) from Osmania University, a P.G. Diploma in Mass communication & Journalism from Bhavan’s College of Communication & Management and an MA in Counselling Psychology from IGNOU. Last but not the least, she is currently also a co-founder for Creative Aspirations, an overseas educational consultancy firm whose forte is to guide students aspiring to kick start their careers in the creative industries either in India or abroad.
