Udaan Performing Arts, presents a Hindi play `The story revolves around a lady who is loquacious and loves company but is confined in a house by her chauvinist husband. She feels lonely and looks for company with all sorts of means in the house. She has two children and a perverted brother-in-law who is restricted to a wheel chair. She keeps chatting, exclaiming with her neighbor demonstrating her emotions with extreme measures to save her sanity. She is haunted by a crank caller, a money lender, a young lover and also exploited by her brother-in-law. Anger, frustration, restlessness, hope, regret, guilt and determination define her inner turmoil. Ek Akeli Aurat is a testimony to the human spirit and demonstrates what we are all capable of doing when pushed to the limit of our patience. A character is found seldom in the society which is bold, beautiful and brave! Yet, the question remains, will she be able to live freely and break shackles?
